Schools and Community Groups Aged Care Presentation - 'From Dream To Reality'

From dream to reality is a friendly and safe environment for schools, community groups and interested parties to be introduced to the world of disabilities, dementia and aged care. Many of our residents, patients and clients are living in facilities, nursing homes or hospitals away from the public’s eyes and awareness. It can therefore be difficult for our school children, churches and local communities to know and understand their world and the working roles of healthcare staff and support volunteers.

This powerful and refreshing presentation includes:

- An introduction to aged care and disability communities

- Examples of disabilities, dementia and brain injuries

- Interactive Sensory Enrichment Demonstration

- Practical Session: communicating with a person with dementia

This exciting presentation ends with simple ideas and ways in which we can help connect and feel more comfortable with the elderly and those with disabilities around us. Are you ready to be inspired and enter into the unknown? This is an interactive and colourful presentation, taking you into the world of disability, dementia and aged care. Tailored for schools, community groups and anyone interested in learning about this special and unique area of work and social life. Click on the Presentation Flyer pdf above to find out more.
